Meet Will Hutchins
Will is the owner and sole practitioner of Hutchins Law. He was born and raised in Bardstown, Kentucky where his family has lived for generations. He knew he wanted to be an attorney from an early age, following in the footsteps of his father, who served the community for decades.
After graduating Nelson County High School, Will continued his education at the University of Kentucky where he graduated early with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Classical Studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude at both schools. Will went on to achieve his juris doctorate at the University of Kentucky College of Law where he graduated at the top of his class. He also married his high school sweetheart, Darianne, who now works as a Paralegal for Hutchins Law.
Will then returned to his hometown of Bardstown where he served as a trial prosecutor and Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit. During his time as a prosecutor, Will dedicated his career to securing justice for victims and successfully litigated crimes ranging from petty theft to murder.
Will launched Hutchins Law within weeks of becoming a licensed attorney, driven by a commitment to serving his community and a clear vision of creating a new standard for local law firms. Hutchins Law has since expanded to the law firm it is today, diligently serving clients from across the country.

Battle-tested litigator with experience navigating victories both inside and outside the
courtroom
Maddy is the newest addition to Hutchins Law and specializes in criminal defense and family law. Maddy was born and raised here in Nelson County. Her father, Dean Watts, served honorably as Nelson County Judge Executive for decades and her mother, Katy Watts, works in her family-owned trucking business.
She attended Bethlehem High School before moving on to University of Kentucky and Belmont University for her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Kinesiology. She then went on to attend the University of Kentucky for law school.
After graduating from law school, Maddy pursued her passion for protecting the rights of the vulnerable and was thrust into some of the most rigorous experience an attorney can have: the Department of Public Advocacy. As an appointed defense attorney, Maddy has extensive criminal defense experience ranging from the smallest misdemeanors to double homicide trials. Maddy also serves as the Executive Board Member of the Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition.
Maddy and Will met while attending law school at the University of Kentucky and developed a mutual respect fighting against each other in criminal cases with Will prosecuting those charged with crimes, and Maddy defending them. Maddy, driven by a desire to provide top-tier legal representation for her clients and dedication to their case, elected to join private practice at Hutchins Law and has since achieved monumental victories both inside and outside the courtroom for our clients.
